Another semester is upon us and our calendars are filling up with classes and meetings but make sure to leave some room for the great events happening below!
On Friday, January 27 at 12 pm in UC 207, the Women’s Center is hosting a discussion and reflection on the Women’s Marches. Sure to be a valuable and insightful discussion!
On Tuesday the 31st at noon we will have a graduate student meeting in Drown 210. Make sure to attend to catch up on all the latest news and happenings in our graduate department! Word has it that there will be updates on the Literature and Social Justice Conference happening in March, as well as other committee, office, and group announcements.
Our very own Sam Sorensen will be co-hosting a screening and discussion of 2 Fists Up on Feb 1 at 11:10 am – 1 pm in the M-Room (UC).
Don’t miss what’ sure to be a poignant talk by Rebecca Traister “All the Single Ladies: Unmarried Women and the Rise of an Independent Nation” on Thursday, February 9 at 4:00 pm in Baker Hall.
The Spring Dissertation Boot Camp is approaching fast! Make sure to fill out the form here and pay at the Graduate Life Office at Packer House to secure your spot. It’s a great space to eat delicious food, be productive, and enjoy an incredible view: February 11 and 12 8 am – 4 pm in the Wood Dining Hall (Mountaintop Campus).
Dr. Zamora will also be hosting a discussion on her own research for the Office of Multicultural Affairs (OMA) on February 15 at 12 pm in the M-Room (UC).
The Drown Writer’s Series (DWS) is hosting another great reading event on Thursday, February 23rd from 12 – 1:30 pm. in the Humanities Center.
