Hello Summer! We have only 3 weeks left in the Spring Semester and although things are winding down across campus there are still several events you should schedule time to attend.
Monday, May 1 at 5:30 – Lehigh Review Release Party
This year’s edition showcases yet again the amazing work that our undergraduates are doing through their studies at Lehigh–in both research and original art. To help celebrate our contributors work, we are hosting a release party on May 1st (There will be food and coffee/tea!).
Friday, May 5 at 4:00 – Betsy Fifer Retirement Party
The English Department is holding a celebration in honor of Betsy Fifer, who is retiring at the end of this semester after teaching at Lehigh for 44 years.
The event will be held on Lehigh’s campus at the Tower Room in the Iacocca Building on Mountaintop from 4-6.

Attend the ceremony in Williams Hall in the Global Commons to congratulate your students! There were some phenomenal papers!

Summer Writing Group: MA and Ph.D., incoming and current students welcome. Dates TBD.
Graduate students interested in participating should email Joanna Grim at jcg314@lehigh.edu with the subject line “summer writing group.”
The plan is to meet on or near campus for several day-long writing retreats. The dates, location, and other details (like food and coffee, of which there will be plenty) will be worked out over email. Whether you want to work on an academic article, public humanities essay, creative writing, or other project, you are welcome to join. The goal is to provide space, support, and motivation for meeting your summer writing goals.
